The Journey is The Destination - a remembrance for Dan Eldon

If you haven't seen the Spring 2011 collection for TOMS shoes, you may notice the exotic prints and safari inspired themes. This is so because TOMS shoes decided to create the spring line in inspiration and honor of Dan Eldon, an English photojournalist for Reuters, who was killed by an angry mob in Somalia. His life was cut short, but his legacy lived on through the discovery of his journal and his photography. His life's philosophy included some phrases such as "Safari as a way of life" and "The Journey is the Destination," describing a carpe diem type lifestyle. He continues to inspire many people of all ages throughout the world, and an organization created by his family travels world-wide spreading his spirit of adventure and of the unknown.
